Check-In

The process by which visitors register their attendance at an Open House, typically providing contact information.

The Check-In process involves visitors registering their attendance at an Open House. This registration usually requires providing basic contact information such as name, phone number, and email address. The purpose of the check-in is to keep a record of who has visited the property, enabling the agent to follow up with interested parties and assess the event's success.

There are two ways to gather visitor information:

  1. With a pen an paper sign-in sheet
  2. With a digital solution where the visitor is using their phone to enter their information

Both have their pros and cons. While a pen and paper solution has often a free sign-in sheet, the digital solution requires a subscription. And while an agent has to enter all the visitor information into a computer once the open houses is done and manually solicit feedback, digital solutions often do all that fully automatic saving the agent a lot of time and effort.
